This newly constructed TownePlace Suites offers a comfortable and apartment-like experience with well-equipped rooms and a convenient location near the Georgia National Fairgrounds. While guests appreciate the friendly staff and plentiful breakfast options, recent issues with room temperature regulation and communication regarding check-out procedures have been noted.
This place is great overall, but I was really disappointed with how our last stay was handled. We had a late checkout confirmed for 4 PM, and without notifying me or my husband, the hotel decided to cancel the room because they assumed we had already checked out because we weren’t actively in there. We had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, and just because there weren’t bags visible doesn’t mean we had left the room. The only reason we even found out was because my husband went back to grab some belongings before checkout, and they wouldn’t let him back into the room. I didn’t appreciate the lack of communication or the assumption that we were gone without confirmation.
Had a wonderful stay. Price was reasonable for a holiday weekend. And the rooms looked nice online (the company website does not seem to have room pictures, but were seen on other sites) Check-in was quick and easy, the girl was nice and professional. Our room was comfortable and stocked really well for a longer stay if needed. Larger fridge, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, and toaster are all included. There is plates, glasses, and some very basic cooking utensils. The room was very clean and easy to get to and from the elevator. Keep in mind the ice is on the 1st floor only. There are water bottle fill stations throughout. The gym was well stocked with everything to do a full workout. I noticed a laundry room next door but we did not use it. Both of these are only accessible by room key. There is a very nice pool and hot tub we were looking forward to using, but we're told it is only open seasonally (?) I'm not sure what qualifies for that, as it is the end of May and certainly hot enough. That was a bit of a letdown. We had a bit of a hiccup with the fire alarm going off at midnight one night due to some dust setting off a sensor. I think this was a one off though, because that housekeeping team is outstanding. They were constantly cleaning and hustling. Yet they always had time to stop and ask if you needed anything. 5+ stars on that team for sure. Breakfast was great, and there are many selections, breakfast sandwich, waffle station. The lady working the area was on top of everything and willing to grab something (my daughter had a special request) Overall it was a very pleasant stay, only missed opportunity was the pool. But we would certainly stay again.
I stayed here for one night. Being brand new, everything was sparkling clean and modern. The service was the highlight, and the staff was incredibly enthusiastic. My room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a pristine bathroom featuring high-quality amenities. However, poor soundproofing is a major problem. I highly recommend that others use earplugs for a good night's sleep due to door-slamming noise and hallway footsteps.
I wanted to ensure that corporate and future guests are aware of the exceptional staff at TownPlace Suites / Marriott, particularly our cook Breeze and bartender Shardae. They have demonstrated a genuine commitment to excellent customer service, as shown by their attentive service and follow-up to ensure our satisfaction. Based on my frequent and extensive travels, I can confidently say that this level of service is truly uncommon.
This is a nice hotel, as it is brand new. I do have one complaint- and that is the Verdant thermostats that are installed (at least in the Townplace Suites side of the building). These thermostats are advertised as energy- and money- saving alternatives, and that's because they are motion activated and will shut the ac/heat off in the room if no motion is sensed for a certain amount of time. Which means that since it doesn't sense movement through the night, the thermostat will shut itself off and I wake up sweating. And when I get back to the room after a long day, the room is hot and stuffy. It's not great.
I have one word to describe this hotel: WONDERFUL! Truly felt like an apartment complex which made it feel so homey and comfortable right away. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I didn't even have a reservation. Just stumbled upon this place and they told me it was brand new! You'd never know with how smoothly everything was running. The breakfast offered a variety of fresh foods. The waffle machine, specifically, was by far my favorite, but everything was delicious! I already recommended this hotel to family who will be in the area in a few months. I will most definitely be back because it exceeded my expectations! Everything about it is WONDERFUL!
Had a great stay here! I showed up one night without a reservation and they were able to accommodate me. The room was fantastic and there was breakfast the next morning with plenty of options. I was very impressed at how the staff was able to manage despite how busy they were. Would highly recommended staying here if you are in the area or are looking for a place to vacation. I felt comfortable and at home during the length of my stay.
Brand new hotel! We were some of the first guests in this 4 days old hotel!! Everything is new, so we had a room with new appliances. Bed is comfy, good night sleep is guaranteed. It is very quiet. Staff is super nice and friendly. ? Breakfast is great. Some minor issues are: shower pressure could be stronger, lighting in the room could be brighter. But as a brand new hotel those are the usual starting problems which may be solved in the future. ? Highly recommended ?
